SPORTING CT 4-1 ST. CROIX LEGACY

STILLWATER, OKLA. — Sporting CT advanced to the WPSL Championships Final with a 4-1 semifinal win over St. Croix Legacy Friday night at Neal Patterson stadium on the campus of Oklahoma State University. 

St. Croix took the lead in the 36th minute from a Sporting CT own goal off a looping free kick from Grace Schwoch. 

Imani Jenkins equalized for Sporting in the 43rd minute, followed by a goal from Tiffany Weimer in the 52nd minute to make it 2-1 for Sporting. Tori Sousa scored off a corner kick to make it 3-1, and Abby Johnson capped the night in the 74th minute to make it 4-1. 

With the win, Sporting advances to the WPSL Championships Final on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Watch live or in-demand on the National Soccer Network.
