OKLAHOMA CITY FC ROLL PAST AUSTIN RISE FC TO ADVANCE TO CENTRAL FINAL

 

Oklahoma City FC advanced to the Central Region Playoffs Final with a 3-0 win over Austin Rise. Hannah Voskuhl, Samantha Guzman, and Jenna Munson scored goals in the semifinal win. Goalkeeper, Callie Sullivan earned a clean sheet in goal for Oklahoma City. 

 

Oklahoma City took the lead in the 18th minute when Voskuhl put back the rebound after Austin Rise goalkeeper, Alondria Iriarte, could not hold an Elle Abby header at the far post. The goal was Voskuhl’s second of the season. 

 

Guzman doubled Oklahoma City’s lead in the 32nd minute—again off a set piece—when Iriarte could not hold Rylee McLanahan’s header. Guzman finished from close range for her fourth goal on the season. 

 

Munson slammed the door on Austin in the 75th minute, putting back a rebound after an Iriarte diving save came back into play.

With the win, Oklahoma City FC moves to 2-0-0 in the postseason, and 10-2-0 overall.
