Alysiah Lockette propelled Colorado Pride to two big wins in Matchweek Six that resulted in the club’s largest margin of goal scored against its opponents this season.
In the first match of the week, Lockette contributed to two goals in the Pride’s 4-0 win. In the Pride’s second match, Lockette recorded a brace in under 10 minutes then added a second-half hat trick to net five total goals scored.
In her freshman season with Baylor University, Lockette made 11 starts in the 21 matches she played, recording a total of 857 minutes of play in the 2024 collegiate season.

Ashley Thurk

A staple for Salvo SC this season, Ashley Thurk showed up big in Matchweek Six as the team hit the road for an away match.
The right-back from Edina, Minn. contributed to four of the eight goals Salvo scored, connecting with three different players and orchestrating an own goal in the 71’ to add another goal in their shutout win.
Thurk got Salvo on the board in the opening minutes by assisting with Mokelke’s goal in the 3’. In the second half Thurk connected with Beaton (80’) and Whynott (87’) for Salvo’s final scores on the night. Thurk now leads Salvo in assists on the season.
As a freshman for the University of Minnesota, Thurk made the All-Big Ten Freshman Team, was named to TopDrawer Soccer’s Freshman Best XI Second Team and ranked No. 21 in its Postseason Top 100 Freshman. Thurk started all 22 of the Gopher’s matches and recorded nearly 2000 minutes.

After a tough 1-0 loss at home to the No. 19 team in the WPSL, Monica Curry led Force FC New York to its first win of the season after just 65 min of action.
Curry, who’s set to start at UMass this Fall, opened the scoring for Force FC in the 22’, securing the 1-0 advantage at halftime. In the second half, Curry added two more goals in less than 10 minutes, putting Force FC up 3-0 with 25 minutes to play.
Curry earned All-Conference First Team honors at Vernon Township high school her freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons and holds the goal-scoring record with 121 goals scored as a junior.

Ella Tuplin

Ella Tuplin helped TN Tempo FC to its first win since Matchweek Two by contributing to three of the six goals scored in the road-victory. Tuplin gave Tempo the lead early by connecting on a free kick 30 yards out before assisting on its 32’ and 56’ goals.
Tuplin capped her collegiate career at Cumberland University with two goals scored and four assists in the 2024 season. Tuplin finished with a career-total nine goals and 16 assists while starting 74 of the 76 matches played.

Smith secured Chattanooga FC’s fourth win on the season with a left-footed goal in the final minutes of the match. Additionally, Smith led a backline that earned Chattanooga’s second shutouts in consecutive matches – third on the season.
Smith started all 22 matches played for Texas State in the 2024 collegiate season, finishing with four goals and five assists.

Brooke Holden

Brooke Holden proved to be an offensive threat in Matchweek Six for league debutants San Diego Dons. Holden scored six of the seven goals the Dons tallied, scoring braces in all three games.
In the first match of the week, Holden cut the Dons’ three-goal deficit by two with goals in the 32’ and 52’ to put the Dons down by just a goal. In the second match, Holden gave the Dons the 2-1 lead with a goal in the 35’ then secured the win in the 78’ by converting a penalty. Two days later, Holden led the Dons to another 2-1 win, scoring both goals.
Holden is now the Dons leading goal scorer with 12 total goals on the season and in the running for the Golden Boot race.
Holden will join the three-time NCAA Champions and 2023 runner-up, Stanford University in the Fall.

Northern Arizona alumna, Logan Maszton helped Desert Dreams F.C. stay undefeated by leading a defense that secured its first shutout of the season. Maszton also opened the scoring to put the WPSL newcomers up before the opening fifth minute.
Maszton record over 3200 minutes in her Northern Arizona career while starting 33 of the 53 matches played.
