BEST OF THE WPSL - MID-ATLANTIC CONFERENCE

OKLAHOMA CITY (August 11, 2023) – In its final day of awards week, the Women’s Premier Soccer League released the 2023 Best of the WPSL All-Conference honor in the East Region. The accolades include Best XI, Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Franchise of the Year.

Twenty-two players have been named in the Mid-Atlantic Conference BEST XI awards between its Colonial and Keystone divisions. Players honored represent respective schools including the University of Cincinnati, Villanova University, Virgina Tech, Boston University and La Salle University. The Colonial Division honors five players from the Delaware Ospreys, three players from Penn Fusion SA, and two players from SJEB FC while the Keystone Division has awarded four players from Lehigh Valley Tempest, three players from Reading United A.C., and two players each from Real Central NJ and PA Classics.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR:  Caitlin St. Leger, F, Delaware Ospreys, Delaware

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR:  Grace Gordon, GK, Penn Fusion SA, Seton Hall

COACH OF THE YEAR:  Scott Mosier, Delaware Ospreys

FRANCHISE OF THE YEAR:  Penn Fusion SA
