OKLAHOMA CITY – The Women’s Premier Soccer League has announced the schedule for the North Division of the Metropolitan Conference today for the upcoming 2021 season. The East Region saw the most growth in the offseason with the addition of new expansion teams for the upcoming season. Collectively the Metropolitan Conference has 11 new teams competing between its two divisions.

The North Division will feature four new teams that entered the league this offseason – Fox Soccer Academy (New York City), New York Shockers (Albany), VT Fusion (Manchester, VT),  and Westchester United F.C. (New York City); and an additional new team, Soccer House Academy FC (Nassau), who entered in 2020 but was unable to play due to the league canceling the season amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The division also features one of the league’s most decorated veteran teams – New York Athletic Club, who has been a member of the WPSL for nearly two decades. NYAC entered the league in 2006 and is the league’s second-most tenured club at 15 seasons. NYAC has earned four regular-season conference titles and has made four playoff appearances. In their last two seasons, NYAC has outscored opponents 49/14 and accumulated a record of 11-3-2.

The Rhode Island Rogues and SUSA FC (Long Island) are both set to play their third WPSL seasons. In SUSA's first season in the league, they went 11-4-1 while outscoring opponents 45/18, winning the regular-season conference title, and making a run in the playoffs where they reached the East Regional Finals.

The first match of the season will feature Fox Soccer Academy hosting the Rhode Island Rogues on May 15. The six remaining teams are set to open their seasons on May 22nd.
