OKLAHOMA CITY – The Women’s Premier Soccer League has announced the schedule for the Mid-Atlantic Conference today for the upcoming 2021 season.

The Mid-Atlantic Conference will feature four teams out of Philadelphia and a team each from Hershey and Allentown. The conference will be represented by Hershey FC, Lehigh Valley Tempest (Allentown), Penn Fusion SA (Philadelphia), Philadelphia Lone Star FC, Philly Fever, and Torch FC (Philadelphia).

Five of the six teams have been members of the WPSL over the last decade with Philadelphia Lone Star FC joining in 2019 and finishing second in the regular-season conference standings for their inaugural season.

Torch FC joined the league in 2010 as Buxmont Torch FC and is tied for the 4th most tenured WPSL active teams with 11 seasons in the league. Torch FC has made three playoff appearances in the last three seasons.

The most successful team in the Mid-Atlantic conference is Penn Fusion SA who has earned the regular-season conference title four times in their four seasons in the league. They have accumulated an overall record of 29-4-6 while outscoring opponents 122/30.

Philly Fever will enter their eighth WPSL season while Hershey FC suits up for their sixth and Leigh Valley their fourth. The conference should portray a highly competitive season among these teams.

The season will consist of 30 matches between the end of May and mid-July.

The season opener will feature three matches on May 23 with each team starting their seasons at the same time. Philadelphia Lone Star FC will host Leigh Valley Tempest, Penn Fusion SA will travel to Hershey FC, and Torch FC will host Philly Fever.
