THE WPSL REVEALS THE 2021 SCHEDULE FOR THE COLONIAL CONFERENCE

The First Match of the Season Will Kick-Off on May 16th

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Women’s Premier Soccer League has announced the schedule for the Colonial Conference today for the upcoming 2021 season. The East Region saw the most growth in the offseason with the addition of new expansion teams for the upcoming season. Three of the five teams in this conference are part of the 2021 expansion-team class.

The Colonial Conference will feature teams out of the Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Dover areas. The conference will be represented by CAFC Ospreys (Dover), Athena Soccer Club (Philadelphia), SJEB FC (Philadelphia), Old Dominion Cesena USA (Washington D.C.), and Washington Dutch Lions FC.  

Athena, SJEB, and Washington all joined the WPSL this offseason and look to play their first season with the league.

The Ospreys look to play their second WPSL season. They finished the 2019 season with one loss while outscoring opponents 32/13 and earning the conference title for the regular season. Old Dominion joined the league in 2016 and will suit for their fifth season.

 

The season will consist of 20 matches over seven weeks beginning mid-May.

The first game of the season will feature Old Dominion hosting SJEB on May 16th.
