DENVILLE, New Jersey – The Women’s Premier Soccer Club officially welcomes Match Fit Academy FC to the league as its newest expansion team for the 2021 season.

Over the last two decades, Match Fit Academy FC, established in 2000, has aspired to become the best at recognizing and developing talent and has been working towards the final piece of their developmental pathway for their grassroots program which directly benefits their players.

We have been researching which league would give us the best playing environment and competitive matches for our players and the WPSL was the only logical choice,Dominick Bucci, Match Fit Academy FC girls director of coaching, said. “We felt like adding the WPSL would give us a genuine pathway for our players to [reach] the top level.”

The club has put its focus on creating an academy training atmosphere in which the good of the whole group is valued as well as the needs of the individual. The club believes the success of their players is a direct outcome of top-level coaching and strives to invest in their coaching staff, as much as their player development, to create an environment that is conducive to new ideas and approaches that will support their coaches in achieving their highest potential.

We are extremely excited to provide this platform out of Monmouth County New Jersey for our Match Fit Academy alumnae and rising collegiate freshman to play at the next level,” Bucci said.

For their inaugural season, Match Fit Academy FC will play their home matches at Monmouth Regional high school in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Ticket information will be provided closer to the start of the 2021 season.
